What happened on New Jersey this morning?
There were a few firetrucks blocking off the south traffic along New Jersey Avenue, around the 1400 block around 7AM. Any idea of what that was about?Labels: misc

On the radio this morning they were saying that there was a car accident at New Jersey Avenue & P Street that was causing traffic delays... possibly that?
There was semiautomatic gunfire at the 1300 block of 5th street, NW last night at about 12:15. They welcomed me back with a one-gun salute. I'm honored.
Looked like a car T-Boned a parked car on NJ ... at least that's what it looked like as I passed by it this morning. Not sure how it happened. Heard the gun shots last night too ... sounded pretty close to the house. Guess I was off by a few blocks.
Jason, I followed your link to your blog and my jaw dropped as I read your August 8th entry.
You left a positive impression on me following a difficult situation on the bike. What is most memorable for me is how well you handled the situation.
