Florida Market Study Public Meeting

I guess I'll need to show up at this one to question the logic of putting a working warehouse area so close to residential.
Anyway as reported by Frozen Tropics and Rebuilding Space, who can give more info on the meetings and what they will cover.

Thanks for the link. This study is terrifc because it will finally give us all some hard numbers with which to work. Also consider chiceking us out for the Cultural Tourism DC Tours this Saturday.
This will be an abbreviated versin of the tour that we generally do. We'll be doing more complete tours this summer. But either way, we defintely encourage people to check out the Market, and a tour can be helpful because navigation can be tricky for those who don't know the Market well.
Cheers,
Elise

what are the pro's and con's of locating a working warehouse near a residential area?

One problem is noise. Trucks coming at going in the wee wee hours of the day, not condusive to a good night's sleep. Any requests to change the hours of operations would probably encourage the businesses to relocate to Jessup, MD.
Second, smell. Think summer and spoiled veggies rotting in the many trash dumpsters.
Third, pests.
Fourth, truck traffic.
